The Ember Network
An Innovative Approach to Rebuilding After Wildfire
The Ember Network is an innovative architectural initiative designed specifically for communities impacted by wildfire.
Born from our firsthand work with fire-affected families across Northern California, The Ember Network blends the high-quality, bespoke design experience of A•SQUARED with the cost-efficiency and collective momentum of a shared architectural process.
This is not a catalog of pre-designed homes. Nor is it a traditional, one-off custom service—though we offer that too. Instead, The Ember Network offers something entirely new:
A way for small groups of homeowners to rebuild together—more efficiently, smarter, and more intentionally.
Through this initiative, participants can:
- Collaborate in a guided design process shaped by shared values
- Reduce costs through coordinated planing
- Accelerate timelines with experienced and trusted teamwork
- Create homes that are resilient, sustainable, and deeply personal
The result is a purposeful, cost-effective, and high-quality path forward—centered on community, and built to endure.
We are proud to officially announce the launch of The Ember Network.

The Ember Intake
By choosing to share your story, you’re taking a meaningful step—not just toward rebuilding your home, but toward reweaving the fabric of your community. Designing a home that truly fits your life starts with understanding how you live. There are no right or wrong answers—just insights that will shape a space designed around you.
This intake form is the first part of your journey with The Ember Network. It’s not a test or a contract—just a way for us to better understand who you are, what you value, and how we can align your path with others walking a similar road. The Intake contains a few questions about your household, your site, and your hopes for rebuilding. Your answers will help us thoughtfully group families into Threads—small clusters of aligned neighbors—so we can design more intentionally and rebuild more efficiently, together.
There are no wrong answers. Answer what you can, skip what you need, and share what feels right.
